About Rocky ~ Labrador X (on trial 14/8/15)
Rocky is a 2 year old Labrador cross a black in colour. Rocky loves to play - he loves his toys and loves playing with children.
Rocky has been doing some training and is learning really quickly. He can sit, stay and eat on command. Rocky likes going on long walks and walks really well on a lead. Rocky is a good watch dog, he will let you know when someone is around. He does not jump fences nor does he dig holes.
He is an inside / outside dog and would prefer to sleep somewhere nice and cosy inside with his new family.
Despite his size Rocky loves to sit on your lap, and soak up all of the attention.
Rocky has to be slowly introduced to other dogs and he finds cats too interesting so a home without cats is best for Rocky.
Rocky loves a lot of attention and pats, he is waiting for his forever family to spoil him.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
