About Teddy
Hello and welcome to my page....My name is Teddy, and I'm a 7yr old Poodle boy who is loving life right now. My history is far from pleasant and something I try not to think about, but enduring that life for so long has left me with memories that will take time to fade. I'm hoping to find a home that will be understanding and aware that what many dogs find 'common practice' and 'normal', is actually quite new to me.
Having said that, my future is what I need to focus on, and right now I'm being fostered in a beautiful home with another doggie friend and some cats and I'm so happy to finally know what it feels like to be loved and cared for properly. My foster mum says I'm an 'affectionate loving soul' and she's so pleased with how much my confidence is building each day.
I love tummy rubs
I love running and playing in the grass
I love to go for walks and rides in the car
I love cats and other dogs
I love my foster sibling
I love to snuggle in your lap
I'm learning everyday of new and exciting things that make me happy, and some things are a work in progress. I'm learning to go to the toilet outside (which my foster mate is helping me with), I'm learning to trust humans and understand that they are here to love me, and understanding what life should be like for us furry friends.
I do like children, but will need them to understand that I need my own space at times and still quite shy when meeting new people. I'm also not a fan of people watching me eat, so will happily wait for you to leave my side before devouring my dinner.
I would love to find a home where there will be someone at home for me to keep company with, to be your shadow, to be a part of a family. In return, I promise to love you and provide you with cherished memories that will hopefully never fade.
All my vetwork is done - Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, dental work complete, clipped and washed...so ready to meet you whenever you are!

Please contact Vanessa via email only should you wish to meet Teddy. Email will ensure a faster response.
When enquiring about Teddy, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
