Sammy is on trial in his new home.

Do you ever wonder what these old dogs must be going through when they are left at animal shelters?? We look into their faces and there eyes tell us of the pain and loss at being abandoned.

Well Sam is one of those lost souls. Sam is a male German Shepherd who has come into our care from a Sydney animal shelter. You see Sam is a mature aged dog who cannot understand why his former owner had left him in a pound.

Sam is a gentle dog who does not demand attention and would only require a gentle walk each day and for his comfort, inclusion in the family home. We would suggest he is best suited to a mature aged couple who just want the company of a dog in their home and are happy to let Sam be with them and sit and watch television and be a family member.

Sam is in good health although we notice he is a bit deaf or has selective hearing but bring on the food and he quickly responds to voice commands. We are concerned that this hearing may impact on his ability to respond to voice commands. Now knowing his past we have given him his new name for the next chapter of his life. He is still lost but is warming to our care and attention.

SO if you are wanting a calm and attentive older German Shepherd to be in your home to keep you company and who will enjoy a gentle walk each day then Sam is a definite candidate.
