About Tilly
Meet Tilly! She is a greyhound girl with plenty of antics to make you smile.
She likes walking, running, chasing leaves, jumping, stretching, sleeping, fluffy blankets, being scratched and standing behind the couch so she can lick your behind the ears.
Tilly dislikes being showered, rain, having her collar put on and new places with lots of people.
Although she loves snoozing by our feet, Tilly looks forward to her daily walk. She will remind you of this by putting her head on the table, sticking her nose under your arm, making soft, friendly noises sounds, wagging her tail and looking hopeful (i.e. what she is doing while I type her bio).
Tilly is very quiet, eager to please and quick to learn. We are currently teaching her not to jump when excited but at this stage she might not be suitable with little kids (as she might accidently knock them over). Although she is currently happily living with two adults, we suspect she would also love the company of older kids and/or possibly another dog. Tilly has been friendly with dogs she has met, although she can sometimes be a bit nervous if they are over-boisterous.
When Tilly first arrived she was nervous and detached from the people around her. Although she was right at home within a few days she still finds new places with lots of people a little overwhelming and might shy away from being patted by strangers. Already, however she is growing in confidence.
She adores the neighbour and enjoys visiting our family’s house where she has been before. Because of this we feel she will adjust to her new home and will continue to grow in confidence and trust of strangers. Despite being a little timid Tilly is a very gentle dog and has shown no signs of aggression (even when nipped on the heels by another, much smaller dog).
Tilly has been a pleasure to have around and we have loved being her foster parents. We will be sad to say good-bye but know she will make a great companion to her forever-owners. She is a lot of fun, very playful and makes us laugh every day.
Tilly is not cat friendly.
