About King ~ Cattle X Poodle
King 18 month old Cattle x Standard Poodle. World - meet King - an adorable, happy, healthy and playful boy who has a lovely nature. King’s father is a Red Cattle x Blue Cattle Dog and his mother is a Standard Poodle.
Recently surrendered (through no fault of his own) to Dog Rescue Newcastle, King now finds himself looking for a permanent home. Being an intelligent, fit, active and happy puppy, he would make a perfect companion for a young family, as he is very active and loves playing with children. King has been in a family environment with two adults, a 15 year old girl, 13 year old boy and an 8 year boy.
Being very gregarious and playful, King loves being around people and animals. Also very friendly, King is constantly playing with his canine companions, but can sometimes be submissive around a more dominant dog. Although King is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, he still has some work to do with his training. However, he is very responsive and eager to learn. He will sit and stay for a second and loves playing tug of war and fetch. He also loves to swim and just being around people. He loves to chew sticks and bones.
With his longish coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional grooming, King is very low maintenance. He will grow up to be a medium size adult. King would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.
If you feel you can provide this super friendly dog with a loving, permanent home, please contact Peta on 0417 682 079 or Nora on 0418 402 150 or email: drnmudgeebranch@yahoo.com. King is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
King is de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. His adoption fee is $300.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
