About Ezra ~ Staffy x Lab Puppy (on trial 16/8/15)
Hi I’m Ezra. I’m a 5 month old staffy x puppy. Everyone thinks that I’m a staffy x Labrador as my sister Electra and I look very similar to Labradors. \ My foster mum thinks this is a great mix as I’m really a very clever puppy as well as being friendly, affectionate and full of fun.
I’m in foster care with two other big adult dogs and I love them to pieces. My foster brother Rocky is huge and I’m not daunted by big dogs at all – in fact I love playing with them even though I’m a lot smaller at the moment. I’m a fast learner and since being in foster care I’ve been learning a lot about socialisation. Before I came into care I was quite timid and fearful like my sister, but I’ve settled into my new life now and I’ve realised how much fun I can have from playing. \ I’m learning to walk on a lead, but will still need further training as I find all the smells and sights on our walks very exciting. I have learnt to sit before getting dinner and I know that if I sit I’ll get cuddles too!
I’m in foster care with a little girl and I love her and I’m very good with her. \ I have mostly learnt not to jump when she’s around to try not to knock her over in my excitement to play. Before coming into foster care I was starved and very skinny, I hadn’t eaten properly for long time. For this reason I’m still realising that I get food every day, and I’m still learning that I don’t have to protect my food from the other dogs. My foster mummy is teaching me manners with food and I’m getting better. With time and positive reinforcement I will understand that I don’t have to protect my food from the other dogs at all.
I would best suit a furever home with another dog or someone who is home a lot as I am very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. I would love to go to puppy-training classes as training and socialization will is the key to help me grow into a happy and well-rounded adult. I will need plenty of affection, exercise, and positive training from my new family.
I am such an affectionate pup with a fun personality so if you’d like to meet me please contact Sian on email sianmbithell@gmail.com or 0411 367 606. I am in foster care in Mayfield East, Newcastle
My adoption fee is $450 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, micro-chipping and registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
