About Frederick - adoption pending
Frederick is a beautifully marked kelpie cross pup. Hard to believe he isn't a purebred in both his appearance and behaviour. Fred is the largest of a litter of seven puppies left at the pound without their Mum.
Frederick is an outgoing little guy and thinks he is the boss of his family, always rumbling and tumbling with his siblings. He also loves a cuddle and is happy to sit quietly in your arms and soak up any attention.
Frederick is a friendly and happy little pup and with the right training could make a great working dog or family pet.
Working breed dogs require lots of mental stimulation and plenty of exercise. They also require secure fencing to prevent wandering. If you think you can meet Frederick needs as he grows into an adult for activity such as playing, running, agility or obedience classes you will be rewarded with a loving and loyal family member.
Frederick is currently living on a farm with her foster family and siblings. He is being well socialised with the other adult dogs, ranging from large to small, who live on the farm too.
Frederick is in foster care in Cootamundra NSW, but transport to other locations can be arranged just ask us to obtain a quote for you when you submit your adoption application.
Medical notes
Frederick will be available for adoption after 10 June 15.
Adoption details
Our goal is to match pets' personalities and exercise/training requirements with people whose lifestyle they are best suited to. This reduces the chances of the pet winding up in a pound again. Please don't feel offended by our adoption process, it is for everyone's and every animal's benefit:
1. Submit application for adoption (obtain at Best Friends Pet Rescue website).
2. Homechecks are conducted on short-listed approved applicant(s).
3. Best match selected according to the pet's personality and needs.
