Cassie ...... young at heart jrt

Cassie is a friendly, energetic 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is a big personality hidden in a little body, she just adores going for walks wearing her harness.

She loves doggy and human company and would prefer to either have a human who’s around a lot, or to have a doggy friend for company if they’re not. She lives with two younger dogs and gets on extremely well with them, but sometimes she finds the more playful of them a bit much to handle, so she would probably prefer a calmer dog for company.

For similar reasons, Cassie would be happiest with older children because she finds littlies a bit rough and unpredictable. She gets on beautifully with our 8-year-old daughter.

Cassie hasn’t been tested with cats so we’re not sure how she’d go with them.

She loves walks and when she gets excited at the prospect of going out, she makes the most amazing sounds – you’d swear she was trying to talk!

Cassie is very happy to be outside for part of the day, but when she’s not exploring the garden or going for walks what she really, really loves is to be snoozing on the couch, on the bed or in someone’s lap.

Cassie has recently had dental work and her beautiful healthy teeth will still be chomping on bones (another favourite pastime) for many years to come.

We don’t think Cassie has had much training in her life, but in the last few weeks she has had no trouble learning to sit and to wait for her food. She is very easy to walk, but because she’s so interested in exploring it can be quite an adventure, but she has learned to walk on a harness really well and is a pleasure to walk.

Cassie is extremely fit for her age. Has a slightly dodgy knee likes lots of old people, but it doesn't slow her down in the slightest. She loves a massage, and as she gets older, may need anti inflammatories, but until then, she is happy to race around like a pup.

Cassie is a beautiful older dog who is great company and any love you show her will be returned hundreds of times over.
