About Mishka ~ Silky Terrier, 8yo (on trial 11/6/15)
Mishka is a little flood rescue from Dungog. Her owner lost her house in the storm and sadly is unable to keep her so she surrendered her to DRN. Mishka is an 8 year old Australian Silky Terrier. She has been a loved lap dog most of her life so she will need someone who will spend a lots of time with her and welcome her inside and on the couch.
Mishka will follow you around wherever you go. She does need to be an inside dog with frequent trips outside for toileting. She is frightened by the doggy door, but I am trying to get her used to it by holding the flap open and she does sometimes jump through. She is living with two other small dogs and a cat, whom she sometimes plays with.
Mishka is a perfect little indoor companion for someone who doesn't work full time and wants a devoted friend and company on walks.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
