About Phoenix
You can easily at times forget that Phoenix is still a puppy and then he reminds you when he starts acting like the class clown. Phoenix has been in care for a few months now and has great basic obedience training. He walks well on lead most of the time, he travels well in the car and is house and crate trained. Phoenix is exceptionally smart which works well when it comes to training him and is exceptionally food motivated. Phoenix loves chasing a ball and brings it back most of the time for you to throw again for him. He has also shown interest in a Frisbee so cant wait to test this out. His intelligence can also work against him as he does suss out the people he is around and dogs he is around and works out what he thinks he can get away with both good and naughty. Since being in care we have been working to help Phoenix gain his confidence and slow down his re activity when he is out and about. This has been coming along really well but this work will need to continue so his new home would need to be committed to further his training and socialization. Phoenix ideal home would be someone that has had previous experiences with dogs and is keen to go to regular training sessions as i really do believe he could go a long way with his obedience and would love to learn more tricks too. Phoenix currently lives in a home with 3 other dogs and 2 kids he has been tested out to see if he could be in a single dog home and he certainly passed the test with flying colours so do believe that he would be best suited to a single dog home with older or no kids.
