Ozzie ~ Cavoodle (on trial 12/6/15)

Everyone could do with a little Ozzie devil in their lives. Ozzie is a 2 year old Cavoodle (cavalier x poodle) with the silky coat and pretty looks of a cavalier in a larger package. Ozzie is a medium size dog weighing approximately 12 kgs.

Due to his history, Ozzie has a devilish side and does not always make a good first impression as he barks when meeting new people. However once you get to know him, you realise what a sweet, loving dog he is.

Ozzie bonds very closely with his people; he is a quick learner and eager to please. \ He is house trained and clean in the house. He has yet to master the doggy door but comes to tell you when he needs to go out.

In his previous life, Ozzie was never taken out and met very few people. Since coming into care, I have gradually been introducing him to new experiences and people and he is making good progress. His new owner will need to be patient and continue this training.

Other than his people, Ozzie’s favourite things are: \ going for walks, drives in the car, cuddles, toys and food – he is not a fussy eater. He is very playful and friendly towards other dogs and loves playing with and chewing his toys.
Ozzie would enjoy having a doggy playmate in his new home.

Because Ozzie is not used to children and startled by sudden movements, bicycles, skateboards, etc, he is unsuitable for a home with small children. His perfect home would be a calm environment with owner/owners who are able to put in the time to train him and continue to introduce him to new experiences. In time Ozzie will learn to enjoy meeting new people. In fact, the last time my 6 year old grandson visited, Ozzie barked at him as usual but eventually came and sat next to him on the lounge - a big improvement. With time and patience, Ozzie will develop into the perfect canine family member. \

Ozzie has an easy care coat, which only needs an occasional light brush and bathing fortnightly to keep him looking his best.

Ozzie’s adoption fee is $500 which includes his de-sexing, vaccinations, worm and flea treatment, microchipping and lifetime registration.
