About Rusty
Rusty is a happy, go lucky boy who is up for anything! He loves being around people and is well socialised with other dogs and even cats. Rusty is incredibly food motivated and has been a pleasure to train. He can sit, drop, look, wait, stay and come when called. He is even fully toilet trained.
Rusty is best suited to a home with another doggy friend for him to play with!
Rusty recently had cruciate repair surgery (similar to a knee reconstruction) on one of his legs and is recovering well. This surgery should not affect his quality of life.. A free veterinary consultation is offered as part of Rusty's adoption fee so a veterinary can discuss the surgery with his forever family in more detail.
Medical notes
Rusty is a happy, healthy dog. He is desexed, vaccinated, heart worm tested (negative) and is up to date with all preventative care.
Rusty currently weighs 25kg
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs then please do not hesitate to email us and request an Interest in Adoption application form.
Once you submit your completed application form. We will review your suitability and if it sounds like you and the dog are a good match then we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you to meet with and spend some time with the dog. Please note, we do not conduct on the spot adoptions.
If both parties are still keen to proceed with the adoption then the next stage is for one of our volunteers to come out and conduct a brief property check.
If the adoption goes ahead a seven day settling in period is offered. If during that time, it is not working out for any reason, we will take the dog back for a 75% refund. We will also take the dog back at any point during their lifetime should you become unable to care for them however we will not be able to reimburse the adoption fee.
