Ryder ~ Cattle X Puppy ~ On Trial 11/6/15

Ryder is a snuggly black and white cattle dog x puppy who is 9 weeks old. We think Ryder and his siblings may be crossed with border collie or even kelpie as some of his siblings are black and white, and a few have typical kelpie tan markings on their faces. Ryder is the sweetest little boy, he loves to be around his foster family wherever they are. Ryder loves his humans so much that he has even learnt to get over the baby gate so he can run into the master bedroom and jump on the bed to be with his foster dad for extra cuddles!

Ryder is in foster care with his brother Talon and 3 other puppies and he’s friendly with all of them. He’s also in foster care with a cat and 2 children. He always wants to join in playing with his doggy friends and the kids and he will snuggle up with them for a nap after a big play session.

Ryder would really love a furever home with a friendly playful dog as a playmate and a good role model. \ He’s only new to toilet training as he’s still just a baby, so his new family will need to continue to train him on where to go to the toilet.

Ryder would best suit a furever home with another dog or someone who is home a lot. \ He needs to be allowed inside when his family is home and sleep inside. He is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. If left alone he will display Houdini-like skills to find his humans so he will need secure fencing. He would love to go to puppy-training classes when he’s a little older as training and socialization will give him the best start in life. He will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training from his new family to help him grow and develop.

Ryder’s sister Cala and brothers Cheddar, Merlot and Talon are also available for adoption.

Ryder will need to be returned to our Central Coast rescue vet for desexing when he’s a little bigger.
