Cala ~ On Trial 24/5/15

Cala is a beautiful young lady with loads of love to give and personality in abundance. She is an 8 week old cattle dog x puppy with a soft and glossy black coat. We think Cala and her siblings may be crossed with border collie or even kelpie as some of her siblings are black and white. Cala has little cattle-dog coloured speckled socks on her feet.

Cala is in foster care with her siblings Cheddar and Merlot, and she is the more chilled out pup amongst her siblings. She is also with 2 other adult dogs, cats, chickens and 2 children and she’s friendly with all of them. She loves toddlers and is known to follow her carers’ 4 year old toddler around the yard and chill out with her.

Being a puppy, she can get excited when first meeting people, but she’s not silly and she is learning good manners already at such a young age – she’s already learning to ‘sit’. Cala sleeps inside in a crate with her siblings overnight and she’s still learning to sleep the whole night through. She is an absolute delight and will be a wonderful furry addition to your family if you are looking to adopt a loving new best friend.

Cala would really love a furever home with a friendly playful dog as a playmate and a good role model. Although she loves playing, she also enjoys her sleeping. She’s only new to toilet training as she’s still just a baby, so her new family will need to continue to train her on where to go to the toilet.

Cala would best suit a furever home with another dog or someone who is home a lot. She needs to be allowed inside when her family is home and sleep inside. She is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. She would love to go to puppy-training classes when she’s a little older as training and socialization will give her the best start in life. She will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training from her new family to help her grow and develop.

Cala’s brothers Cheddar, Merlot, Ryder and Talon are also available for adoption.

Cala will need to be returned to our Central Coast rescue vet for desexing when she’s a little bigger.
