Jasper

Jasper came to us because of a relationship breakdown. He is a 12mth old Kelpie x Huntaway and has been in care for a couple weeks. It took him a bit of time to settle in but now he is used to the change in his life he has developed his personality.

I would have to say that he is a typical working breed and would not do well in a back yard. He loves to run flat out, chase other dogs, clears farm fencing like he is jumping on a sheeps back.

He tries to round the other foster dogs up and thinks it’s fun running around in circles and trying to get them to react. He isn't used to being inside but he has come in a couple of times but tends to sit by the door. He is getting used to it but I think he would rather be outside.

When he first met my horses and cow, he tried to round them up but the cow is used to fosters so just stood there and Jasper didn't quite know what to do. Now he just ignores them.

He is often out and off lead and doesn't go anywhere. When I call him he comes straight away from somewhere. But he is locked up when no one is around and at night and he is really good with that.

He also loves to run up and down in the puddles, even in this weather.

He is super friendly and loves affection but is sometimes a bit reluctant to come straight up to you. He isn't all that good on a lead but he is excellent in the car.
