About Skylar
Skylar is a sweet young girl who found herself surrendered to the pound and is now looking for a loving new furever family.
She’s a typical Sammy girl, she loves affection and has a happy, bouncy disposition.
We don’t know if Skylar has lived with other dogs in the past but she would possibly be ok with another dog of similar size and nature. She would not be suitable with small dogs as she is a bit over the top with them, not realizing her own size. She is very interested in other dogs and will bark and pull on leash when she sees other dogs. Firm and consistent training will see improvement in this area and her foster carers are actively working it on.
Skylar is toilet trained and has some basic training; she can be quite puppyish and excitable in her behavior though so will need some correction from time to time.
Skylar will need a home without cats or other pocket pets and with secure fencing.
She will need a commitment to daily exercise and needs to be allowed inside access when people are home, as she loves nothing more than your company.
Medical notes
Skylar has had hip surgery in the past. She has plates implanted and the vets report her hips are stable. She may suffer from arthritis in the future and require injections as well as regular check up visits to the vet.
