About Dash
Dash is a stunning looking boy who is reasonable on the lead and has the potential to be cat friendly with careful introduction.
Dash is friendly with other dogs and will suit a home with a medium to large female. He is very playful and can be a bit "in your face" so the other dog would have to be able to put up with his sometimes tactless advances, or have the gumption to tell him off. He will not suit a home with small dogs as he is too boisterous.
If Dash goes to a home without another dog he will need to have his humans around more often than not so that he does not get lonely. Perhaps you work from home or are semi-retired? As Dash is so people oriented he will not cope with long periods of time without a friend around. It's also essential that he is allowed time inside the home with his people, he loves nothing more than a cuddle.
He has a beautiful affectionate temperament and is gentle with children, he is quite large though so any children will need to be teenagers.
Whilst Dash has some basics down pat and knows sit, he can be quite bouncy and will benefit from ongoing training. He responds well to correction and will stop what he is doing, so has lots of potential. Dash would do best if enrolled in some obedience training.
Dash will need a fully fenced yard with 5ft fencing or more. As Dash is still an active young lad a commitment to daily exercise is a must.
Dash has dug some small holes but it not a major excavator.
Dash has a very chilled nature and would possibly suit a first time breed owner, but make sure you’ve done your research, as he is still a cheeky Malamute after all.
