Cheddar ~ Cattle X Puppy (On Trial 29/5/15)

Cheddar is a friendly little black and white cattle dog x puppy who is 8 weeks old. We think Cheddar and his siblings may be crossed with border collie or even kelpie as some of his siblings are black and white, and Cheddar has typical kelpie tan markings on one side of his face. Cheddar is a sweet and gentle puppy who brings sunshine into his foster family’s day.

Cheddar is eager to learn and please every day. He’s in foster care with his siblings Cala and Merlot, and 2 other adult dogs and he’s friendly with all of them. \ He’s also in foster care with cats and 2 children. He always wants to join in playing with his doggy friends and his foster carers’ children. Cheddar is clumsy and always tripping over himself, his antics makes for hours of entertainment!

Being a puppy, he is obviously quite mischievous and will find the odd item to chew which he shouldn't, but he is learning the word 'no' very quickly. He is also learning to ‘sit’. Cheddar sleeps inside in a crate with his siblings overnight and he’s still learning to sleep the whole night through. He is an absolute delight and will be a wonderful furry addition to your family if you are looking to adopt a friendly and happy best friend.

Cheddar would really love a furever home with a friendly playful dog as a playmate and a good role model. \ Although he loves playing, he also enjoys his sleeping and it’s not surprising to find him suddenly falling asleep after a hard day of playing. He’s only new to toilet training as he’s still just a baby, so his new family will need to continue to train him on where to go to the toilet.

Cheddar would best suit a furever home with another dog or someone who is home a lot. He needs to be allowed inside when his family is home and sleep inside. He is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. He would love to go to puppy-training classes when he’s a little older as training and socialization will give him the best start in life. He will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training from my new family to help in grow and develop.

Cheddar’s sister Cala and brothers Merlot, Ryder and Talon are also available for adoption.

Cheddar will need to be returned to our Central Coast rescue vet for desexing when he’s a little bigger.
