Jed Pancakes .... Awesome dog!

Jed Pancakes is small in size but not in personality! He is super smart, alert, active and always on the go.

He is 1 year & 1 month old, extremely sweet, affectionate, loving and loyal. He is great with other dogs and he would thrive in an environment with a second dog or someone who is home a lot. He had a reputation of being an escape artist prior to coming to his foster home with us, but with high fences and an owner who is around a bit, we can’t see this being a major issue. He'd probably enjoy having a view outside the yard, to de-stress him a little.

He desperately tries to please and is a very quick learner. He needs someone with a bit of patience as he is still young and learning. He is picking up basic commands though and will constantly seek your approval and keep trying.

He is currently on medication for anxiety disorder which is helping and having him out of the shelter has seen him improve. Pancakes will need gentle, positive handling to build confidence in his new home.

He is noted as not being good with cats, however as he is not housed with one, we were unable to test this properly. He is small and spritely and may well chase cats if they run, but has the potential to be taught cat etiquette with a confident cat.

He doesnt live with children currently however has interacted with them on outings and walks, and given his love of humans generally, he would probably be an ideal family pet and kid's playmate.

He is the perfect size and breed mix for a "first dog" for kids who would benefit from some dog training classes so the child and dog can bond and learn how to evoke the best responses from him by way of learning tricks and giving/obeying commands.

His large personality is extremely endearing and he is so hoping to find his forever home soon.
