About Storm ~ medium mixed ~(On Trial 16/5/15)
This beautiful girl is named “Storm”, and she is a young dog around 8 months old, mixed breed. She will be a medium-sized dog -- tending towards large -- when fully grown, and she has a lovely and quite unusual coat that gives an impression of softness and makes you want to touch it.
Storm has come into care through circumstances that were none of her doing, and she is ready and waiting for a new life with a family. She is used to having the company of another dog, but would no doubt adjust to being an only dog if she were involved in daily activities of her family and not left to be constantly alone and bored. She is used to being outside most of the time, but would like to be able to come inside with everyone for a while when people are home. She has been with children in her earlier life. We’re not sure how she would be with cats.
Storm knows how to sit when requested and will wait to eat her dinner until given permission to start. Then she’s into it! She’d like to eat everyone else’s dinner too, if she could, so there’s no fussiness evident when it comes to the menu!
Storm is a very affectionate girl who is just wanting to be loved. She will make a wonderful companion for the lucky person or family who adopts her. If that could be you, please contact her foster-carer, Lynda, 02 4987 1213 or text 0401 264 514. Storm is located near Raymond Terrace, NSW and is only 10 minutes or so from the end of the M1 if you are travelling from Sydney.
Storm's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
