About Harlem <3
HARLEM
The biggest heart you’ll ever know – Harlem is the most affectionate dog I have ever had the pleasure of looking after in rescue. Harlem loves to snuggle, so close and lean into you, wrap he’s paws around you, forgetting his size a lot of the time. All he asks for is love and in return he will return the favour tenfold.
Harlem lazes about during the day, lots of sleeping, changing positions, sleeping, having a play with his kong (toy) and some more sleeping. He lives with a very relaxed, calm older Ridgey x Staffy foster sister and would suit a similar dynamic or happy to also be in an all human home. *Harlem is not tested / or good with cats or other small creatures* and would prefer a home with grown up's.
This handsome boys house manners are wonderful, he is toilet trained, knows all basic obedience and more (see video). Sit, drop, shake, high 5!, wait, stop, yes, touch, no, stay, leave it and he would love to learn even more! Harlem’s recall outside of the home and calm environment is still something to work on but with more training he will be spectacular at it. On occasion, Harlem does let out the occasional “someones here!” bark when the door bell goes off but that settles quickly once told and once he meets and greets your welcomed guest with lots of love and affection.
Harlem needs slow and calm introductions to help him improve on his socialisation with other dogs as the world can be an overwhelming place at times so he would like someone to help him build confidence and feel safe in our scary world which he hasn't quite yet gotten comfortable with. However with ongoing regular training working on making him feel safe – Harlem will be a wonderful dog once he has built up his confidence and finally has a forever home and forever family.
If you’d like to know more about Harlem and come and give him a cuddle (which he will love!) please get in touch.
Located in Yarraville 3013.
