About Hope ~ Boxer x puppy (On Trial 20/5/15)
Hope is a small, female, Boxer x puppy, only 10 weeks old. She has dainty features and could be mixed with a slightly smaller breed. She is a very sweet and shy little girl.
Hope loves to cuddle up to her people and get lots of lap time. She is a bit shy so wouldn't suit a home with children under 6. She is good with small dogs but she still finds large dogs a little overwhelming at this young age. As she gets older, and with continued doggy socialisation with friendly calm dogs this initial fear will reduce. Hope is fine with cats.
Hope is a very much an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, especially when people are home, and to sleep inside. She will appreciate wearing a sweater in cooler months.
We think that Hope will grow up to be a medium sized dog. She's dainty at the moment but could fill out as she grows. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and time with their people every day.
As Hope is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when she's 4 or 5 months old.
Hope's brother Hudson is also available for adoption. http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/366734
For more information or to meet Hope, please contact her foster carer Jacquelynn on 0412 991 576 or email Jacquelynnmaree123@gmail.com. Hope is in foster care in Waratah, NSW (Newcastle).
Hope's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
