About Zeus
Introducing, Zeus the Magnificent! As you can see his name suits him well, he is truly breath taking, a real gentle giant. This stunning boy came into care as a dog with severe separation anxiety, he would scale 6 foot fences when left alone. Since he has been in a care with one of our amazing carers he has had no separation issues at all. The determining factor for his anxiety was being left in a back yard on his own with little interaction with his family. Zeus is currently in a home with 2 other dogs and 5 children, where he is a massive part of the family spending 70% of his day inside interacting with the family. Zeus fully house trained and sleeps on his single bed mattress all night with no fuss. He gets on great with medium/Large dogs and is currently fostered with 2 male labs, not suited to a home with small dogs as he can be too rough. He is great around children from 3 years up who are respectful of his size and will happily lay on his bed and receive pats and cuddles. He is learning basic manners as he is a bit boisterous at times, like that he is not allowed inside until he is calm and sits (he gets excited because your home!) and is learning to wait for food (he is very food orientated) . He will happily stay outside behind 6ft fencing while your out, but he needs some doggy company with a dog. He is a little skittish with loud noises and a little head shy, but loves company and will come lean into you for pats and hugs. He is very well behaved inside and has showed no tendency towards chewing or any destructive behaviour so far. Loves his bones and treats and would do well with someone who was home more than not. He will only be approved to a home where he is allowed inside, sturdy 6 foot fencing (preferably colour bond) with a dog companion and someone who is home a lot. Please only apply if you meet these requirements, we will NOT be accepting interstate applications or applications from outside South East Queensland. He has recently had corrective eye surgery and we will not be rushing any applications until he is 100%.
