About Bertha
Bertha, now called Mia, has been in care for some time now and I can’t understand why. Her breed is a mystery but she appears to be a bull arab but when she goes for a walk and she is off lead I believe she has whippet or greyhound because all she does is run and run and run.
She doesn't walk anywhere. It’s beautiful to watch. She is great with other dogs and loves to play with them. She also likes her toys and balls and will play tug.
She is good inside and outside and is good on her own or with other dogs.
She sleeps in a crate at night and spends most of her days outside with her foster mates, then comes inside at night for an hour or so, then off to bed in her crate. She is good inside although inquisitive as she likes to check out what’s on the benches.
She just loves human company and is great around older kids, younger kids are fine but she can be a bit jumpy.
When she is going for walks, if she is on her own she is fantastic and walks really well on the lead but if she is with other dogs she will pull a bit.
She loves going out the weir, loves the water, and loves playing with the hose. In the warmer weather she loves to get in the kiddies pool and splash around.
