About Ziggy Great Dane X pup
Don’t let his size fool you! Ziggy is a sweet natured clumsy boy who is willing to please. He has the best bounding run I have ever seen!
If you’re looking for a big hunk of love, Ziggy is the dog for you.
His main aim in life is to be as close to you as possible, he has no idea how big he is so sometimes that means on top of you but it’s forgivable because he’s so sweet. For this reason we would not recommend him for a family with young children because his tail alone has knocked a glass (or 2) off the coffee table and would easily accidentally knock over a child.
He gets along with most dogs, and will play all day (between naps) if he has a buddy. He occasionally pushes boundaries and despite the fact that he has a habit of falling off couches he catches on quickly to new rules, so far he can sit and shake.
He walks okay on a halti head harness but again needs someone who is willing to put in some training time. It can be difficult to remember he is still a puppy because of his size.
Ideally his new parent/s would be home a lot, or be able to take him to work. He doesn’t love being home alone but hasn’t been destructive, toys/distractions/entertainment all help keep him distracted and happy.
Overall he is a great dog who is as sweet as he is big. He always means well and is a sweet goofy boy.
Ziggy is currently in care in Seddon with a medium sized Staffy x foster sister.
