About Nyx *On Trial in Her New Home*
*NYX IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* \ How awesome would it be if Nyx could be in her forever home in time to celebrate her 5th birthday on 15 July??? Our goal is to make this gorgeous girl’s birthday wish come true, so will it be with you???
Sweet and just a little-bit silly is how we’d describe Nyx and you can tell she’s been loved in her past life. She’s settled in well into foster care where she tries to boss the households male Rottweiler around without much success. Unfortuantely she's not good around cats and wants to chase them. Even though Nyx is ok around other dogs we think she’d prefer to be the only one in her forever home so long as her humans were around a lot to spend time with her. Adorable Nyx loves children though is better around those who are 10 years or older as she could still accidentally knock a youngun’ over in her playful exuberance! At approximately 13kgs Nyx is the size of a small Cocker Spaniel.
Speaking of playful, Nyx has fun with doggie toys and enjoys a game of chaseys with her foster carer!! She’s an energetic, excitable dog who is friendly and affectionate and loves spending time with her humans. Nyx knows “sit” and “wait” which she will do before she’s allowed to eat though you do need to use a firm voice as she can be a bit stubborn at times. She does pull a bit on the lead when she firsts starts out on a walk though soon settles and enjoys getting out and about. Nyx absolutely LOVES treats especially Schmackos, which she takes quite gently, and this will help with any further training you’d like to do with her.

Nyx isn’t a glutton when it comes to food and is quite happy to graze enjoying a diet of dry food, cans, bones and table scraps. She’s a good little watch dog who’ll let you know when someone approaches the house. To keep Nyx’s coat in tip-top condition she’ll require regular brushing (which she adores!) plus a clip when required She’s housetrained, non-shedding and enjoys an inside / outside lifestyle which we’d want to see continued in her forever home.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
