About Rookie (adopted!)
Rookie is a gorgeous, friendly young Kelpie cross male with a lovely nature. \ Although serious when he first came into care, he's now a very smiley boy with a constantly wagging tail.
He is very friendly with people and other dogs. He shows no guarding or aggressive tendencies and is being fostered with three other dogs. He eats around them and gets along with all of them. He is good about waiting for his food.
He sleeps through the night in a crate and can be crated when his humans are out. He travels well in the car and doesn't mind chilling out in the car.
Despite not having been an inside dog previously, he has picked up house-training extremely quickly, learning how to use the dog door and taking himself out to toilet. He has been house-trained in record time!
He is learning to sit, shake hands and is almost getting the hang of his name. Rookie has an off-switch and will take himself to his crate, dog bed or mat to chill out quietly while his humans are on the computer or watching tv.
He is still learning how to walk on lead as he pulls when excited and he will have some more tricks to learn.
You can follow rookie's progress on his blog here: http://koalathebear.dreamwidth.org/tag/rookie which has details of his life in foster care as well as more photos of him. \ You can submit an expression of interest so that his carer will contact you for a chat and your application will be put on a list for consideration.
Expressions of interest can be lodged by downloading and completing this form:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9bvo4dio1wkf36/07%20Adoption%20Application.doc and emailing it to clara.fosterdogs@gmail.com. The expression of interest/application to adopt in no way commits you to adopt.

1. Expression of interest
2. Foster carer will contact you for a chat
3. Foster carer may arrange for a yard check and a meet and greet
4. Rookie may be adopted when he is ready for adoption if he is suitable for your home and vice versa.
Medical notes
