About Bella
Hello, my name is Bella and I am a 2 ½ year old Great Dane x. I didn’t have a good run until I came into foster care but now I am gaining a lot of weight and I am feeling safe and secure with my foster brother. We play a lot, sometimes a bit more than he likes but I am also learning to stop when he tells me to.
My foster mum says I am a really good girl with great manners. I am obedient, I sit for my meals and wait until I am allowed to start eating. I know where my bed is and go there when I am told to do so.
I walk well on leash but can be a bit reactive when I see other dogs whilst driving in the car. I am a very good watch dog [but I am not a nuisance barker] and will alert my foster mum when I see something out of the ordinary.
Although I lived with a cat in the past, my current foster home’s resident cat is very shy and I have not had the chance to meet her yet. My foster mum says that I look very alert and curious when I spot the cat somewhere in the house. I also live with guinea pigs and indoor cage birds at the moment. They smell funny but I leave them alone.
All I want is to be close to my foster mum when she is at home and lay close to her and snuggle. I am fully house trained and sleep right through the night. When she goes to work I am happy with my foster brother’s company. I don’t require fences higher than farm type fencing because I just want a place I can call home and someone who loves me as much as I will love them. Oh.. and I nearly forgot… I looove squeaky soft toys.
