I've been adopted!
About Fred (On Trial)
I’m a dashing and dreamy gentleman, and I’m dreaming of a cosy home to call my own. As handsome as a Hollywood movie star from yesteryear - I’m a wise old soul with old-fashioned values.
I’m composed and not at all clingy - I won’t pester you for attention or food, and I certainly won’t jump anywhere I shouldn’t. I don’t pull on lead and am happy to let you set the pace. But I do love a good cuddle and will definitely return the love once I get to know you.
And most importantly, I have the smoothest, softest ears, and the softest little tummy that loves a gentle pat. I demand very little in return - just some kindness, respect, and a comfy place to take a kip.
I may be 10 years old, but I’m still an active boy and love my walkies once a day (twice would be nice). With me around, you’ll be fit as a fiddle.
One of my foster carers was 90 years old, so I know the active senior lifestyle suits me to a tee.
Is there room in your heart for me?
My bucket list: A home where I can feel safe, loved and warm.
My ideal match: I’m a sensitive soul, seeking same - a calm and relaxed person who appreciates the quieter things in life. An active senior or retired couple would be a wonderful match for me.
I may take a little while to warm to new people, but trust me, my love is worth the wait. Once I get to know and trust you, I bond deeply. Let’s make a connection we can both treasure for a lifetime.
I’m located in Sydney. No cats please!
Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
