Maximus

Max is an extremely smart, loving and loyal Chihuahua X JRT. He has many tricks to share and loves to learn (and learns very quickly). However Max has had a troubled past which has left him insecure and extremely nervous and requires a ‘pack leader’ for him to follow.

Max wants love, he wants to follow a leader but he needs someone who will be that stable leader for him to follow. He needs to be handled with a lot of patience and kindness but you must also be firm and confident so that he can get his confidence from you. So with this in mind Max is not suited to first time dog owners, families with young kids or nervous owners.

This lovely little dog would really benefit from finding his forever home sooner rather than later so that he can begin to bond with them rather than bonding with me. We have a gorgeous relationship that is flourishing more and more each day and it will be hard to see him leave however I strongly believe that it is not in Max’s best interest to stay in temporary care any longer than necessary as stability and structure is what he craves.
