About Birdie
Birdie is the most beautiful mix of Border Collie and Staffy! She's intelligent, loyal, eager to please and full of puppy exuberance!
Birdie was adopted from us as a young pup about 5 months ago. Although the trial went well and we received several updates, we were horrified to find that her adopters had recently surrendered her to a high kill pound, without even contacting us, nor honoring the adoption agreement they signed, to return her to us. We are not going to dwell on that though, it just explains how Birdie came to be back with us again!
Since returning to her previous foster family, Birdie has shown herself to be the lovely pup we remembered. She walks beautifully on lead, she's not a barker and other than typical puppy things, she doesn't seem to be destructive or naughty. The training she started while originally in care, seems to have fallen away a bit, and she is needing to brush up on basic commands, which she's doing very well with, and she has almost got the hang of house training again.
Birdie is a puppy and as such she is active and easily prone to boredom. She is looking for an active home where she will receive daily exercise, plenty of interaction and socialisation and be included in family activities. She would do best with another medium to large dog as a friend and playmate.
Birdie is very respectful of cats and gets along well with most dogs, though can get a little bit over excited initially.
Birdie is very people focused and likes to be with her people when they are home. She would do best in a home where she is not without human contact for long periods of time.
Birdie's new home will need to be committed to enrolling her in a puppy training course to help brush up on her manners, but over all, she is a lovely, affectionate girl who is eager to make her humans happy!
Birdie is in care in Croydon
Medical notes
Birdie goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated.
