Velcros ~ Chihuahua (On Trial 14/5/15)

Meet Velcros, a 6 year old, male, Chihuahua. What he lacks in size (2.9kg) he sure makes up in personality and love. This little man is the most loving and loyal dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning or fostering. Do you need a new man in your life or a new best friend? Then Velcros is the one for you.

Chihuahua's are known for their loyalty and great companionship. This little guy is known as my shadow in our house. He spends every second of every day with me, (except for when I leave the house) and I don't even know he is there, all you hear is the pitter patter of his tiny little steps following you. He is happy to sit next to me on the lounge or on my lap or in his own little dog bed on the chair next to me as long as he can see me. He is ok when I leave the house and is always super excited to see me when I come home.

Chihuahua's are also known to be one people dogs also. In my house it is myself. Velcros tolerates my husband and two kids aged 6 and 8 but he would be quite happy to just live with one person or possibly two, preferably an aged couple who is retired and wants a companion at home or while they travel in their caravan. He is a perfect sized lap dog. Velcros is not suited to a young family as he has started to become very protective of me with my own family and my own 2 dogs. My kids adore him but Velcros just needs one special owner to spoil him rotten. Maybe your partner already has their own little lap dog and you want one too, then this would be fine. Velcros gets on with other dogs. He wouldn't suit a one person family who already has 1 dog as he isn't good at sharing. He wants his human all to himself.

Velcros was very shy with me at first as he had spent his entire 6 years with one elderly owner. So our busy household was quite a change for him. But it only took a day for him to pick me as his new foster mum and now he's settled in. It will be very hard to part with this little man, but I know there is that one person out there who will give him all the love, cuddles and pats he craves for, he will definitely melt your heart as he has done with mine.
