About Blondie ~ Wheaten Terrier ~ on trial 17/5/15
Ta da! Introducing our wheaten terrier, Blondie. This boy is a star! He is around 2 years old, and he’s such a good-looking little character we wouldn’t be surprised to find a Disney talent scout on the doorstep offering a movie deal! He could be the new Benji!
Blondie has a sweet nature and is pretty much happy to go with the flow of whatever is happening with his family. Like all dogs he loves company, and would love to be with you every minute of the day, if it were possible. He is living with a number of other dogs in his foster-carer’s home, and he thinks that’s pretty cool; lots of games for him, and a bit of wrestling with the others is fun too.
Blondie has a lovely textured coat which varies from a flaxen colour through creams to gold and pure white. There is a little grey frosting on his ears, just for a bit of variety. His coat benefits from a brush a couple of times a week, and a trip to the groomer would be necessary every 8 to 10 weeks, just for a moderate tidy up around his face and maybe his feet, but not a lot of clipping is necessary. A regular bath would be a good idea to get the best out of the spectacular colouring of his coat.
An ideal home for this dog would be with a person or family who can give him time and involve him in their lives. He’s a sit-on-your-couch kind of guy, a cuddler, and anyone who just left him in the backyard would be missing out on so much. Blondie is definitely an inside dog.
If you would like to know more about Blondie please contact his foster-carer, Lynda, by phoning 02 4987 1213 after 7pm Monday to Wednesday, or any time any other day. Alternatively send a text to 0401 264 514 or email dogshouse@tpg.com.au. Blondie is located in the Raymond Terrace area, and is only 10 minutes or so from the end of the M1 if you are coming from Sydney.
Blondie's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
