Tunza ~ On Trial 10/5/15

Tunza is a happy-go-lucky 3 month old Great Dane x Mastiff puppy. He is very sociable and loves to be around people all the time. He is very friendly and once he has met you he will give you hugs and cuddles and want to be your best friend. In fact, if given the choice he would spend his time in your arms or on your lap. He needs a family who can give him lots of attention.

Tunza is great with kids. He is currently in a home with 6 and 8 year old boys - he will play and run for ages. He has lots of energy and needs to go to a home where he will get lots of exercise. He would be good in a home with children or other active family members. Tunza does not like to be left on his own for too long, so a home with another dog, or someone who is home most of the time is required.

Tunza is still working on toilet training - he mostly goes outside but if left inside too long he can still have the occasional accident. \ Tunza is in foster care with pocket pets, and he shows no interest in them so he would be fine to go to a home with pocket pets.

Due to his size, Tunza will need a yard with at good solid fencing. The yard will need to a reasonable size so that he can run around and play.

Tunza is beginning to learn to walk on a lead. He is very confident and not the least bit worried about the world outside his yard, and he is quickly learning to walk and run with his friend Tandi (who is also available for adoption). Tunza has been tried off the lead and he is only just beginning to recognise his name, so will need recall training to ensure he comes back safely. He is already learning the commands sit, down, off, outside, no, and come. He still needs to practice, but loves to learn – he is very pleased with himself when he gets lots of praise. \ We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training and socialisation.

Tunza loves other dogs and loves to run and play chase with them. He is quick to learn his boundaries with other dogs, and is getting better with doggy etiquette every day. Tunza has been good in the car, and is content to settle back in his car harness and enjoy the ride.
