Lizzie

Lizzie is a sweet natured, loving dog. She's very fond of keeping your feet warm whilst staring adoringly into your eyes in the hope of receiving a prolonged pat:)

Lizzie is great with adults and children, but she sometimes forgets that she weighs around 30kg and this will occasionally be intimidating for a smaller child if she is too exuberant at their first meeting. In saying that, she rarely jumps and is easily persuaded no to do so with food based rewards.

Lizzie loves a long walk and literally bounces like an antelope when she knows its time to head to the local park. She is learning not to strain on the lead and with a little patience and a few schmacko snacks, she has progressed very rapidly over the few weeks I have had her under my care.

Lizzie is highly sociable when it comes to other dogs and wants to say hello to everybody and everything. I have never heard her growl or be aggressive in the time that she has been under my care, even when faced with this behaviour from another dog. She just wants to play and will eventually learn that other dogs have boundaries!

I believe she will make an amazing family pet where there are lots of hands on deck to give her all the love and pats her big heart desires or perhaps a physically active couple or individual who spends time at home during the week to keep her company! A doggy companion would be wonderful for her.
