Denver *On Trial in His New Home*

*DENVER IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Hi my name is Denver. I am a Boxer/Ridgeback/Staffy mix puppy and I am looking for my forever home. I am currently living with two Boxers and I sure love to play! My foster mum says I definitely have the Boxer personality – playful, loving and just a bit silly. My favourite thing to do is to play with my foster brother and sister and there is nothing I would like more then to get a fur brother or sister of my own; I’m not fussy a girl or a boy will be fine – I love everybody! If I was to be an only child I would want to have lots and lots of toys and for my new mum or dad to be home lots to spend time with me. I also have a 2 year old human foster brother who I love to jump on. I am slowly beginning to understand the down command but all I want to do is give kisses and cuddles so I will need more training – just a hint, I will do anything for food! I like to steal food from others so I need to be with dogs that don’t have food aggression until I understand that I should only eat what is in my own bowl.

While I do love cuddles I can sometimes be a bit wary of new people so would really like a home where my new mum and dad make sure they introduce me to others carefully until I feel a little more brave. I was the runt of the litter so I’m just not super confident yet – but with love and care I will grow in to a happy and brave dog.

Denver is enjoying an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in foster care which we would love to see continued in his forever home - he loves cuddles on the couch while you watch tv. He was also crate-trained as a puppy though is quite happy sleeping outside with the company of the other dogs.

As he’s only a young pup Denver will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up having lovely manners. Now that he’s fully vaccinated he’s learning to walk on a lead and likes getting out and about. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Denver very happy indeed!
