Milly ~ Kelpie X (on trial 16/5/15)

Hi, my name is Milly. My Foster mum gave me my name as I didn't have one before. They called me other names but I didn't answer to them. Milly sounded like it suited me best so I wagged my tail with delight when I get called to! \ I am a young approximately 10mths old kelpie x and full of energy.

My favourite things to do is go for long walks and chew toys. I'm still a puppy, so with a little more love and care in dog training I can be better on the lead. I just get overly excited because I love company. I forget sometimes that I am a big puppy, I don't realize I can knock over the little ones with my wagging tail! But luckily for me, my furless foster siblings don't mind my tail too much. I'm really good with kids, especially babies to the age of 5. There is 4 children at my foster home now, and they all are just as inquisitive as I am! I also live with a feline friend but she's not very approachable and I bark at her sometimes because I want to play and she just hisses at me. I know she is getting used to my quirkiness now because she can lay near me on the same carpet and not worry about what I do, so a working progress in my friendship with cats.

I didn't have much space to run before but my foster mum taught me to play fetch. I wasn't sure what the game was and I still sometimes watch my foster siblings fetch the ball for me. But my favourite game is playing tips with the kids and tug-a-war with a roped toy!

I'm quite friendly with other dogs when walking past and I don't bark back even though some are aggressive towards me. I'm gentle that way.

My forever home would be a place where my new family has time to play with me and train me to fit into their home and we forge a long term friendship together. It doesn't take me long to learn.

I don't mind sleeping outdoors during the day but my foster family makes me sleep inside at night time. I like my bed but sometimes my 5yr old foster sibling makes me sleep on her bed. And I like that very much.

I love to be apart of the family and always show my foster family I'm thankful by giving them loads of cuddles and licks. Sometimes my foster siblings pretend to be just like me and lick their not-so-much fur. After a long day of play, nothing beats a good cuddle and belly rubs! I would suit a family who has time to go for walks everyday and play. Being a kelpie, I like room to roam so a good sized yard would be ideal too.
