About Chad ~ Great Dane X (Trial 16/5/15)
Let me introduce Chad, Chad is a 1 year old Great Dane x (possibly Mastiff). Chad is a delightful boy who loves human company along with the company of other doggies. Being a Great Dane x, Chad is a big boy, but despite his size he is simply wonderful with children.
Chad has beautiful calm, gentle nature! He is a big cuddle monster and his great big soft adorable ears that stand up when he is being a stickybeak.
Sometimes I think Chad think’s he is the size of a Chihuahua, his favourite thing to do is lay on your lap on the lounge and snuggle. Chad is a good boy inside, he will lay on the mat or on the lounge without a peep. He is also toilet trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside.
Chad has started basic training, he comes back when he is called and he can also sit on command. He is a smart boy so with more training he will be shaking hands and giving high 5’s in no time.
Chad is a great walker on the lead, he doesn’t pull or tug he just walks by your side, like a true gentleman.
Chad is a very quiet boy, we have not even heard his bark yet. When Chad is bored sometimes he tends to dig, although he is getting better, occupying him and wearing him out will eliminate this behaviour. He needs a lot of exercise and doesn’t mind a bone to munch on to keep him happy.
Chad is currently sleeping inside but with appropriate shelter and bedding he would not be fussed if he was sleeping outside too.
Chad would love to be homed with a family. He loves children and being cuddled and patted. He also appreciates his alone time. He is extremely gentle and calm natured. We have three children aged 10, 4 and 12 months. He has never jumped up on them once, snarled or anything of the sort. A perfect addition for a loving family!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
