Okay, okay all jokes aside…Let me introduce you to Chief. Chief is an 18 month old Kelpie X Cattle dog.

Chief is handsome looking fella, with lovely kelpie colourings. Chief is a great compact size and ready to explore the world.

Chief enjoys the great outdoors and walks wonderfully on the lead. He walks beside you at your pace. He enjoys taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the world around him.

Chief has some basic training but this will need to be continued in his new home, but is made easier by the fact Chief is very food orientated and responds well to positive praise. Chief has become a confident dog and has discovered that he loves to go for car rides, play fetch, chomping on kangaroo treats and BELLY RUBS!!

Chief is so very gentle with small children and knows not to jump on them. Chief is fabulous with little people – he enjoys their cuddles, playing dress ups and can always be found curled up listening to stories at bedtime. Chief really is a diamond in the rough. With the right guidance Chief will be a fabulous and loyal dog.

In care Chief is happy to chill outside during the day, while you work, some chew toys or a bone and he is one happy puppy. He loves coming inside of an evening to have family time and can be found curled up in a corner somewhere. Chief enjoys sleeping on the trampoline or in his kennel.

Before coming into his current foster care, Chief was attacked by another dog, which has left him a little selective of other doggy companions. Chief would best suit calm and submissive dogs (he gets along wonderfully with an older, golden Lab who visits) but any introductions to other dogs should be done slowly and in a controlled environment.

Chief’s ideal home would be with just about anyone – single fella – he could be your wing man, a couple – he would love your attention, are you a family – he is great with kids (maybe older would be better), on a property – he could keep you company!
