About Loxy
Gorgeous little Loxy came into care with her 4 kittens. 3 of them are special needs, so Loxy and her little boy, Mallard went into foster care and this is what their foster mum had to say!
Loxy came to me with one of her kittens. She was very small herself and very very thin and malnourished and had given everything she had to grow her litter of four babies. She had not had an easy go of it before she came to Paw Prints.
Upon arrival Loxy was very skittish and timid and only emerged from hiding for food. She had no interest in toys or pats and her beautiful large green eyes scanned everything all the time, constantly searching for threats, grumbling the whole time.
Time and TLC has done wonders!
Loxy has come far. With a healthy, glossy coat, she has gained a lot of weight and with it a confident attitude. This pocket rocket roams the house like she's the boss. Loxy announces her entrance into the room with a series of chirps and will enjoy sitting with you to watch TV in the evenings. She likes to be included in whatever you're doing, though she is very independent and is happy to curl up anywhere she sees fit for a nap. She is curious and engaging and friendly.
Loxy enjoys being picked up and held, she feels safest when she can snuggle her face into your neck. \ She likes to be cradled on her back so she can have her belly tickled!
Despite her rough start, she has never bitten or scratched or lashed out at people in any way.
Loxy would best suit a quieter household without young children. \ She can be shy at first and may take a little while to settle into her new environment. Once she does though, you'll find her to be the sweetest little kitty. She has lived with other cats and though it did take her a couple of weeks to accept them, that was likely because she was still in protective mama mode! She has since been desexed and now fits nicely into a multi-cat household.
Loxy is in care in Boronia
Medical notes
Loxy goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated
