About Pepsi ~ On Trial 24/5/15
Pepsi is a joyful 5 year old Jack Russell X. Just like the fizzy drink Pepsi is bright and very bubbly!
Pepsi absolutely loves attention and cuddles and makes for a great companion. He is very adaptable and makes new friends with humans and dogs. He has fit in very well with his current foster family and he has a senior Border Collie best friend. Pepsi does like the limelight and will sometimes try to be the centre of attention so he just needs to be gently reminded that he needs to share the love with his canine friends.
Pepsi recently went on a camping adventure and truly loved the outdoors, he loved the sights and sounds and new smells - he has the curiosity of a younger dog. \ He also loves to be indoors with his humans, so if you want an indoor pooch who’s happy to be wherever you are then Pepsi is happy to be by your side.
Pepsi is an excellent car traveller and is very obedient and well behaved. He likes to pop his head out the window whilst in the car to catch the breeze. He has recently learned to master walking on a leash and now shows off his new skill - walking by your side, with no pulling and he listens to his commands. Pepsi hasn’t been off-leash with his foster family yet but due to his responsiveness he would probably be easy to train off-lead. He makes an excellent walking partner!
Pepsi’s current foster home does not have any children, but Pepsi displays a sense of interest and excitement when he sees children playing whilst on his walk. Given his excellent temperament, Pepsi would suit a younger couple, a semi-retired or retired couple, a single person, or a family with teenagers. He would love a home where he gets a walk every day. Pepsi will need a fully fenced yard as Jack Russells can be explorers if left alone..
Pepsi is an inside dog and needs to sleep inside. Before he settles in for the night he will circle the bed a few times before bunking down for the night. He’s a very solid sleeper and he makes cute guinea-pig noises in his sleep. Pepsi has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and occasional clipping to keep him comfortable and beautiful.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
