About Franklin ~ American Staffy X Foxy (Trial 26/4/15)
G’day guys, I’m Franklin and I am looking for a new ‘buddy’! I was born just before Christmas and am the plucky son of an American Staffordshire Terrier, and a Fox Terrier. I kind of look a bit like a Beagle though, almost. I think I will be about that size, not any bigger.
Although I am little, I am a confident boy. I tend to stay away from the cats as they just hiss at me (not worth the trouble but they don’t bother me), and I like to tell my big foster sister Zoe the labradoodle that she can’t bowl me over all the time – I am no puppy’s fool! I do, however, love my little sister Abigail and am happy to snuggle up with her and my foster mum on the couch for a snooze.
My foster mum thinks I am a real boy. Not only do I look like a tough little man, I am not really afraid of anything. I am a good boy to bath and have my nails clipped, and I will let you put cologne on me if you insist. I would make a pretty good alarm dog as I will let you know when something unusual is going on around the house. My foster mum says I am much cheaper and cooler than an alarm system.
Although I am already 4 months old, I am picking up my toilet training pretty well and am getting a hang of this ‘sit’ thing. I’m a pretty cluey lad and most importantly I am desperate to make my foster mum happy. I am keen to find my forever home so I can learn everything from them and make them happy. I love seeing my people smile and can’t stop wagging my tail.
I would love to go to a home where I get to be the boss. I can share with other dogs but I love to spend time with my people. I don’t have to be indoors all the time but I need some couch snuggle time each day (just don’t tell the other boys). I can’t wait to meet you, my new people.
Cheers, Frankie
P.S. My sister, Abigail http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/360651 \ needs a home too! Tell your friends.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
