About Cedar ~ Staffy X Mastiff puppy (Trial 25/5/15)
Introducing Cedar, an 14 week old, female Staffy x Mastiff puppy. She is a very active, smart, outgoing puppy, who is healthy and socialized with her siblings and a few other larger dogs. She hasn't met a cat yet but is young enough to think of a cat as just another playmate. She enjoys all sorts of toys and exploring the exciting new world around him.
Cedar has a gorgeous orange coat with tiger stripe markings on her face that make her look like she is worrying! She is uniquely different and has a lovely unique personality to match. We think she'll grow up to be medium size adult dog. She needs 5-6ft high colourbond (or other solid material) fencing with something solid underneath. She cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). Gates should have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true).
Cedar will be great family dog and is suitable for children over 7 years old (as she is in that jumping stage right now and might accidently scratch a little child).
Cedar needs go to a home with another friendly, medium or large dog to be her friend and teacher and ensure that she is raised with good doggy manners. She adores interacting with people so she needs to be allowed inside to be part of the family and to sleep inside in a nice dog bed. We recommend puppy training classes for all puppies.
Ideally, we'd love to see her go to a home where there is someone that doesn't work full time so she doesn't have to spend too much time home alone. She is a so sweet and fun and will make some lucky family very happy.
As Cedar is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's 4 or 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Cedar, please contact her foster mum Robyn on 02 4953 7115 (preferred) or 0407 074 143 and please leave a detailed message if not answered straight away. Cedar is located in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie).
Cedar has 4 siblings, Panda, Apache, Walnut and Lola who are also available for adoption.
Cedar's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
