About Blue ~ Kelpie X (adopted 12/5/15)
Introducing beautiful Blue. Blue is a male Kelpie X, 1 year 6 months old. Blue is the most gentle soul. He loves attention and affection. He is a timid boy and is on the hunt for his forever home.
Blue has the most beautiful nature and deserves to have a home of his own. He loves to be sitting on your knee and having his ribs tickled.
Blue has never had any toilet accidents in the house and is very easy to love. We have watched him from being very timid to playing with our sometimes stroppy Bull Arab.
Blue is working on his leash walking, he walks really well with the halti collar on and working on his jumping up when people enter the house. He will be two in about September and still chews things sometimes if he doesn't have enough toys and a daily walk. He is very smart and will benefit from continue training such as going to dog training classes. He will be a great loyal campaign.
Blue was kept outside on a chain for the first part of his life but now sleeps and mostly spends his life indoors with me, although when we go out he stays outside. He didn't have a good start in life and is very unsure sometimes. We want him to go to a home where he will be allowed inside and included in family activities.
Blue would be best suited to an active family possibly with older children due to his jumping up, or a family that has another dog for Blue to play with. He is foster care with four other dogs and loves playing.
For more information or to meet Blue, please contact his foster carer Helen on 0481 109 880 or email helenstoreyproperties@gmail.com. Blue is in foster care in Hillsborough, NSW (near Charlestown, Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Blue's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
