Katniss ~ On Trial 11/9/15

Introducing Katniss, a 7 month old kelpie cross puppy. Katniss has the cutest kangaroo ears that stick right up like radars. Katniss is an alert and happy puppy and is interested in all that’s going on around her.

Katniss is in foster care with her sister Eclipse and 3 other dogs of various ages and sizes and she has settled in with all of them. She loves to play with toys and she will chase a ball and is learning to bring it back. Katniss plays tug’o’war with the other puppies and is great at sharing.

Katniss has learnt to Sit already, she is very clever and picked this up quickly. She loves food so is easily tempted and trained with food rewards. Katniss is a real snuggler and she loves to cuddle up with her human foster family. She is in foster care with 2 human foster sisters aged 11 and 8 years and she plays well with both of them. Katniss is still learning where to go to the toilet and is still only young so will need patience with her toilet training.

Katniss is a good sleeper and she will happily go to bed when lights are turned off (if she isn't already sleeping!). Being so young, she sleeps inside where it’s warm and cosy on her doggy bed.

Katniss is an inside puppy and so she need to be allowed inside when her family is home – she must sleep inside at night even when she’s older as dogs like to be part of the family.

Katniss would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot. She is too social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. She would love to go to puppy-training classes as training and socialization will give her the best start in life.

Katniss’ sister Eclipse is also available for adoption.
