About Abigail ~ Staffy x Fox Terrier (On Trial 22/4/15)
Hi there, my name is Abigail and I hope to be your very own ‘little Miss Sunshine’! I was born just before Christmas and am the daughter of an American Staffordshire Terrier, and a Fox Terrier. I kind of look a bit like a Beagle though, almost. I think I will be about that size, not any bigger.
I am currently living with my foster family in Port Stephens. I love playing with my big foster sister Zoe the labradoodle and my brother Franklin. There are cats at this house too and they are pretty funny but I tend to stay away from them. Don’t even get me started on the chickens – they are bigger than me so I avoid them too. I’m a bit of a sook and would much rather cuddle up on the couch with my foster mum and have a snooze.
My foster mum thinks I am a sweet little thing and deserve a very loving home. She says I am very much a little girl, as I am well behaved when I am getting a bath or my nails clipped, and I LOVE to have some nice puppy perfume sprayed on me! I am easy going around food and so far I feel pretty happy to share. I am rather shy at first, but I just want someone to lover me. I also like to think I would make a pretty good alarm dog as I will let you know when something unusual is going on around the house. My foster mum says I am much cheaper and cuter than an alarm system.
Although I am already 4 months old, I am learning my toilet training pretty well and am getting a hang of this ‘sit’ thing. I am pretty cluey and most importantly I am desperate to make my foster mum happy. More importantly, I want to find my forever home so I can learn everything from them and make them happy. I love seeing my people smile and can’t stop wagging my tail.
I would love to go to a home with or without a dog brother or sister, as long as my people give me lots of love and cuddles and attention. I am too much of a sook to be stuck in a backyard and just want a family to curl up on the couch with and snuggle. I am so looking forward to meeting you.
Love, Abigail x
P.S. My brother Franklin http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/361331 needs a home too! Tell your friends.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
