Jordy ~ (On Trial 17/4/15) Pomeranian X Terrier

Beautiful Jordy is a 10 month Pomeranian cross Terrier; who’s cheeky, shy attitude and loving temperament is hard not to fall in love with. His gentle, kind hearted nature makes him the perfect snuggle buddy. Jordy is very playful and an extremely snuggly dog and will utilise any opportunity for a cuddle or pat. This unique looking boy is more than happy laying on your lap watching tv with you or having a sleep with one of the other animals.This puppy loves spending time with you and would need to go to a home where he can spend a lot of time with people inside who will give him a lot of attention, love and training.

Jordy can only go to a home where he is an inside dog and there is someone home alot of the time.

Jordy loves a good rowdy, puppy play with his foster sister and brother Gizmo and Louie and this will entertain him all day until he’s ready for a rest. His foster house has two other dogs and two cats.He was very, very nervous to be around the dogs at first but after some slowly introduced interaction he loves nothing more than a good play with them. So, upon beginning any trial some patience would be needed for him to settle in.

He has also spent time people of all ages, including children. Jordy is fantastic with children- very patient and tolerant and would be perfectly suited to a family of any age or size.

Jordy has quickly learned to sit, stay and come and apart from the odd accident as a result of nerves or excitement he is very well toilet trained. He will hold it in all night until then next morning when hes taken out for a wee. As long as he is taken out regularly this should be no issue. He walks great on the lead, does not dig, is not a fussy eater and he is not interested in chewing things. He has no signs of food aggression at all.

He was an absolute star getting bathed and groomed at the vet. He was not phased at all and absolutely LOVED being brushed, which he would need for his long hair so he doesn’t get knotted as well as a bath and an ear clean every now and again. He would need someone to provide lots of exercise for him as he is still a puppy and full of energy! Nothing would make this puppy happier than a daily walk or run.

He is an excellent student! He responds well to food rewards and praise! Spending a bit of time with Jordy each day to teach him a few things would be extremely beneficial for his inquisitive mind, as he loves using the time to spend time with you and is very eager to learn. I hope that Jordy will find an owner who can consistently train him.

Jordy has some separation anxiety as he is never happier than when he is with people and if going to sleep in a separate room- would need training and patience as he will bark and weep for someone to let him in with you.

Jordy was vaccinated, flea treated and wormed regularly before coming to dog rescue and he has also been tested for heartworm. While he has missed out on some critical areas of training and socialisation which he is eager to learn, he has come from a loving home and I do not want to see him go to anything less. Due to his young age he is the perfect pupil and has developed so much already, desperate for someone to put in this time.

Gorgeous Jordy would make the perfect pet for any family who is willing to put the time and effort in to make him the best possible puppy he can be. And believe me, when you do, the happiness that it brings this beautiful boy makes the hard work worth every second!
