About JD
-NO CATS
Hi, my name is JD and I am a cool looking dude of nearly 6 years of age. I have lived with children from 3 to 17 years of age.
I also lived with a friendly little cross bred pug. I am house trained and sleep inside either on the couch or a human bed if I can sneak into one. I really miss sleeping in the home with my humans and can't wait to do that again with my new family.
I need to go to where someone is home most of the time like the situation I have been in until now. Haven't had any formal training but will respond to down, leave, sit, free and will also offer my paw.
I have been assessed by Trish Harris of 4 Paws K9 Training and passed my adoption suitability tests with flying colours. I am very responsive to my name, and am a little excitable at the moment through being in an unfamiliar place wondering what is going to happen next.
I walk well on lead and although pull a little am very responsive to a slight tug. I have a very friendly disposition and get pretty happy if you are sitting down on the ground with me as I simply love to interact with humans. I would suit an active family who will give me lots of exercise and include me in their day as much as possible.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
