About Lealou
LEALOU is a loving dog who likes to play, learn and impress. She loves children and doesn't need to be asked twice for a snuggle. She is a very big lap dog and would spend all day by your side if she was allowed. Despite her upbringing, lovely Lealou is incredibly sweet, kind and gentle. She has a wonderful personality and temperament. She is one of a kind.
Unfortunately, this gorgeous girl is not suited for a home with free range birds or rabbits. However, she is good with cats and small dogs – she loves to play and have company. She is an excellent confidence-booster for shy canines and very polite when meeting new dogs. Her helicopter tail is constantly in motion (so breakables need to kept at a safe height).
This special girl came from a town where dogs just wander around, many neglected or without homes. Some are in good condition, but many are put to sleep. Lealou was a wandering dog. The kids and staff at the local school were feeding her to keep her alive. She was taken home by a lovely lady who saw her potential and wanted to help give her a better life. Furry Friends was contacted to help find her a forever home.
When in care, it became clear that Lealou's start in life was affecting her transition into her new life. Supporters of FFARQ banded together to raise funds for a canine trainer to come and visit her.
Lealou has a special crate that will go with her to her new home. She would be best suited somewhere with high, sturdy fences (preferably colourbond) with a very large backyard.
Lealou needs someone who is home most of the time. A home with a desexed male dog or an old, calm dog would be optimal.
