Cat Friendly: Yes
Dog Friendly: Yes - can be overwhelmed by high energy dogs
House trained: Yes
Energy level: Med
Dexta is a sweet funny boy whose silly grin and prancing ways make his foster mum giggle. He loves a pat, although sometimes can’t quite decide whether he wants one or not, he is sure to dig his nose into your hand for more if he’s after it. He is a pretty typical Spitz and we encourage anyone who is interested to ensure they have done some research on the breed to ensure they can meet Dexta’s needs and understand his personality traits.
More than a beautiful looking dog, Dexta is a typical dog not a cuddly toy. He is doing well at obedience classes - although learning how to walk properly on a lead is not his favourite thing! He sits and waits for his dinner and is learning to take food gently from his foster mums hand, even when his pushy big foster brother is there trying to steal it! He is also doing well learning boundaries and waiting to be invited into the house instead of charging through the door. He is crate trained and happily goes to bed in his crate every night.
Please note, Dexta is not suited to a family with children.
Dexter is $300 to adopt and is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (C4) & wormed.
